Thomas J Marusak

Thomas J. Marusak is the founder and President of Comfortex Corporation, an international manufacturer of decorative window covering products, employing over 700 people and headquartered in Watervliet, New York. Prior to starting Comfortex, he worked as Marketing Manager for Mechanical Technology Inc. in Latham, NY. Mr. Marusak was educated in the engineering and marketing fields. He has earned degrees from Pennsylvania State University, an MS from Stanford University, and pursued an MBA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Mr. Marusak is very active in community and business organizations in New York's Capital Region. He is the current Chairman of the Technology Council of the Center for Economic Growth. He was appointed by Governor Pataki to serve as a current member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. He also currently serves on the advisory boards of Dynabil Industries, Inc and KeyBank of New York He is a past executive board member of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce. He is a former president of the Chief Executives Network for Manufacturers. In 1995, he was a congressional appointee to the White House Council for Small Business.
