Our Design experts can help you with every step of the design process, from color and pattern selection to complete customization. Whether your customer is trying to make a big statement in a small space or decorating an entire home, we are here to help.

All custom services are available on our Color Lux window treatment products including roller shades, soft romans, draperies, cornices, valances and cut fabric. Depending on the scope of your project, a design fee may apply.

How It Works

Email Design@Comfortex.com with a question or the details of your project to help us understand your goals. This can include mood boards, inspirational photos or style preferences you might have.

One of our design experts will contact you within 24-48 business hours and provide a detailed answer to your question and/or the next steps for developing a custom colorway or design.

After your request is completed, a design expert will email you a PDF of the requested custom work. Upon approval, a fabric swatch will be ordered and shipped directly to you or your customer.

Custom Colorways

Recolor any design in our design gallery to your customer’s exact specifications by rearranging colors or integrating new colors. You can pick from our large palette of Color Lux colors or send us a color combination of your own.

Modify A Design

Adjust the content, size or layout of any design in our design gallery. Below is an example of a design that was decreased in size and recolored.

Custom Designs

Have our design experts create a new design or develop/source something similar to a design of your liking. Below is an example of a custom pattern that was developed based on a sketch that a Color Lux dealer provided for inspiration.

Custom Solid Colors

Create a custom color based on a specific paint, Pantone® or other color reference your customer may wish to match. The example below is a collection of drapery solid colors that were developed based on 2020 color trends from a popular paint brand.

Color Coordination & Product Ensembles

Our team of design experts can also help you professionally coordinate an ensemble of soft and hard window treatments with beautiful designs and on-trend colorways.

Q & A

How much does it cost?

The majority of our design services are free, however some of our custom design services, depending on the scope, may have a $50.00 per/hr design fee applied.

What is the turn around time for requests?

We will respond to your request within 24-48 hrs and most custom work and swatches take about 1 week to complete and ship to you or your customer.

How many custom swatches can I order at a time?

You can request up to 5 free custom swatches at one time, after that each swatch is $1.99.

Why can’t Customer Service take my custom order?

All initial swatch orders for custom work needs to go through our Design Department so we can take the proper steps to develop each design and assign the appropriate sku numbers.

Can you match a specific color scheme that I provide?

We are ready and willing to match any color scheme that you would like to provide as a reference.

Do I need to wait for a swatch to order my product?

We recommend ordering a swatch first, but we will provide a PDF of the requested custom work. If you approve, we will provide a SKU number for you to place the order.

Can you match a discontinued pattern from another company?

Due to licensing restrictions we can not provide an identical match, however we can develop or find something similar.
